Bhakti/ Darshan

The Shvetashvatara Upanishad describes bhakti as dedication to a pursuit, not to a "whom," but to "what" those ideals represent. During any Place of worship, DARSHAN, contemplate the qualities symbolized by the idol (pratima), not the stone itself. Offerings like milk, leaves, flowers, cloth, candles or water have no real need for stone; instead, adopt those virtues into daily life for true benefit. Rituals without embodying the qualities resemble an animal performing actions before a stone statue. Real practice transforms devotion into personal growth.

શ્વેતાશ્વતર ઉપનિષદ ભક્તિને કોઈ વ્યક્તિને નહીં, પરંતુ કોઈ વસ્તુ અથવા આદર્શોની ઉપાસના તરીકે વર્ણવે છે.ભક્તિનો સાચો અર્થ ,ભક્તિ કોઈ "કોને" નહીં, પણ "શું" એટલે કે તે ગુણો અને આદર્શોની સાધના છે. કોઈ પણ ઉપાસનાસ્થળે, દર્શન દરમિયાન, મૂર્તિ (પ્રતિમા) દ્વારા પ્રતીકિત ગુણોનું ચિંતન કરો, પથ્થરનું નહીં. વાસ્તવિક ઉપાસના દૂધ, પાંદડા, ફૂલો, કપડાં, મીઠીબતી કે પાણી જેવી ભેટોને પથ્થરની જરૂર નથી. તે ગુણોને રોજિંદા જીવનમાં અપનાવો, તે જ તમને લાભ આપશે. ગુણો વિના રીતિરિવાજો પશુની જેમ પથ્થર સામેના કાર્યો જેવા છે.સાચી સાધના ભક્તિને વ્યક્તિગત વિકાસ રૂપાંતરિત કરે છે.
